Sporting Licenses
Sporting Licenses are issued for a calendar year. Current licensing fees are as follows:
HIP Permit -- $4.00
Duck Stamp -- $15.00
Pheasant Tags -- $28.00
Resident Fishing -- $40.00
Resident Hunting -- $28.00
Resident Fishing & Hunting -- $56.00
Resident Junior Firearms -- $15.00
Resident Trapping -- $50.00
Resident Junior Trapping -- $15.00
Resident Over 65 Annual Fishing/Firearms -- Free
Fishing Handicapped - need proof -- Free
Non-resident Firearms Hunting -- $134.00
Non-resident Fishing -- $80.00
Non-resident Fishing (3 day) -- $32.00
Non-resident Firearms Hunting/Fishing -- $176.00
Other licenses and permits available. See the Town Clerks office or DEP website at www.dep.state.ct.us. No hunting or trapping license will be issued to any person unless proof is provided that they held a resident license within the last five years, a certificate indicating successful completion of a Connecticut Conservation Education/Firearms Course or certificate showing completion of equivalent state course. All licenses expire December 31 of the year issued, except pheasant tags and migratory bird stamps which are valid through early the following year.
