Barrels & Bins at the Curb
Trash barrel and recycling bin must be at curbside (off the road, with the opening of the barrel facing the street) by 6:00 a.m. the morning of pick-up. They must also be removed by 7:00 a.m. the following day.
Paine's Inc. will pick up HOUSEHOLD TRASH ONLY in the barrel provided. All trash must be bagged before placing in the barrel. Please, no liquids or hazardous materials of any kind!
Make sure your recycling bin is at least three feet away from the trash barrel. This provides enough clearance for the automatic arm of the truck.
If you have more trash than will fit in the barrel or an unusual amount of recycling, please call Public Works (653-8960) ahead of time to get authorization for extra pick-up. Please note that large amounts of corrugated cardboard may be brought to the Transfer Station on Saturdays.
TRASH HOLIDAYS
During a holiday week, if your pick-up day falls on or after the holiday, your trash and recycling will be picked up one day after your regularly scheduled collection day for that week only. Here is a list of the pertinent 2008 Holidays:
