Big Loans for Big Readers
Granby readers can take advantage of an extended loan period at the Frederick H. Cossitt Library in North Granby before it officially closes for renovations in April.
Beginning March 10, and continuing through the end of the month, patrons with a valid library card may borrow as many as sixty items if they agree to keep them safe, sound and well-read until September when the library reopens.
There will be some, though few, restrictions on what may be borrowed. For example, DVDs, Books on CD and most recent fiction and new children's books will not be available for the long loan period. However, this is a perfect opportunity for patrons to borrow a number of books on their favorite subject and take their time reading through their choices. Parents may like the opportunity to create a 'home library' for their kids during school vacation months. Granby home schoolers and child care centers are also invited to ask about borrowing collections to use.
Bestsellers, DVDs and new children's books will still be available to take home for the standard loan period.
"Take another look. Even in the smallest of villages you will probably find a fanciful library unlike any other structure in the town. ...these library buildings appear to come straight out of the pages of a fairy-tale book." From Libraries in New England
