Snapshot Day 2011 Granby Public Library
Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Granby Public Library
On Wednesday, April 13, libraries all over Connecticut will be taking a snapshot - collecting information to capture the impact that Connecticut libraries have on their communities on a typical day.

In these difficult times, libraries are busier than ever with people borrowing books, using computers and attending programs.  Last year, on Connecticut's first Snapshot Day, more that 80,000 people visited Connecticut's libraries, people borrowed nearly 100,000 books, DVDs and other materials and close to 13,000 people used computers at their libraries.

On April 13, Granby Public Library will once again participate in this statewide effort to capture a picture of a day in the life of Connecticut's libraries.  Cossitt Library will observe Snapshot Day on Thursday, April 14.

Members of the Library Board and volunteers will greet patrons and ask them to complete a brief survey and comment on what the library means to them.  Our roving photographer will once again take pictures of the patrons who visit.

Last year, more than 280 people used our libraries on Snapshot Day.  Stop in the Reading Room at Granby Public Library and look at the framed collage of photots from 2010.
