BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS
MINUTES
APRIL 13, 2009
Present: Chairman, Lowell C. Johnson, James R. Sansone, and Celia Eggert.
The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m.
The commission met to hear and consider the following appeals:
Appeal of 26 Messenger Road. The decision of the board was that the adjustment was
physically damaged 45%. The reason was the house was physically damaged, fireplaces
were not working, termite damage, rot and roof leaking.
All members approved.
Appeal of Personal Property at 388 Salmon Brook Street (Manitook Motors) The decision of the board was that the adjustment would be $1200 + 25% penalty personal property. The reason was the applicant’s estimate of value $1200 plus 25% penalty for late filing.
All members approved
Appeal of 380 Salmon Brook Street. Requested Assessor to inspect.
Appeal of 30 Cider Mill Heights. The decision of the board was that there would be no change. Reason the value as of revaluation on 10/1/07 is fair and equitable.
All members approved.
Appeal of 300 Hartland Road. The decision of the board was that the adjustment was
physically damaged 35%. Reason was the house was physically damaged. Sheet rock torn down, hole in foundation, water damage, unusable bathroom and moldy sheet rock.
All members approved.
Appeal of 95 Lost Acres Road. The decision of the board was that there would be no change. Reason was that the property value was fair and equitable (revaluation 10/1/07)
See 22 High Ridge Drive, 1 Lindsay Circle and 9 Gloucester Lane.
