BOARD OF ASSESSMENT APPEALS MINUTES

MARCH 10, 2010 & MARCH 13, 2010


MARCH 10, 2010

Present:  Chairman, Lowell C. Johnson, James R. Sansone, and Celia Eggert.

 The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m.

The Commission met to hear and consider the following appeals:

 Appeal of 142 Case Street.  The decision of the board was to delete the FGR4 (1998) because it was a duplicate/clerical error.  Rebuilt and listed as FGR4 (2009).

All members approved.

Appeal of 24 Lakeside Drive. Based on photographs and testimony, the decision of the board was to adjust percent complete from 85% to 75%.

All members approved
 
Appeal of 76 Canal Road.  The decision of the board was to change functional obsolescence to 40%.  Also change 4 bedrooms to 2 bedrooms. Septic system has failed, proposed new system can only support a 2 bedroom home. Cost of new system is $48,000.

All members approved.

 Appeal of 351 Salmon Brook Street.  The decision of the board was to change percent complete from 70% to 50%.  Not habitable, no heat, water or septic. 

All members approved.

Appeal of 53 Mechanicsville Road.  The board denied hearing the appeal.  Applicant is not the current owner of record or the authorized agent as of appeal deadline February 20, 2010.

All members approved.
