MEETING MINUTES

TRI-TOWN CABLE TV GOVERNMENT ACCESS COMMITTEE

Tuesday 2/15/11

Granby Police Department/ Meeting Room

Public Member:  Pat Cheski, Granby resident

Committee Members Present:  Mark Bombard, Michele Holt, Mike Malloy, Neil Mueller

Meeting was called to order at 12:50 pm

I.   Public Comment   - Pat expressed concern that she is not receiving the public access station.  She was told by Cox that she would have to pay for a box to get the PA station.  Cox is supposed to be providing access to the public access for free.  

II.  Approval of Minutes for 12-21-2010

ON A MOTION made by Neil Mueller and seconded by Mark Bombard the committee approved the minutes from the 12-21-10 meeting (4-0-0)

III. Old Business
       
                A. Inventory Progress Mark/Neil/Mike – in progress
               B. GCTV Financials/Requests – Susan provided to GCTV Board
               C. Grant Application – meeting was scheduled for 2/25/11 at 12:30 for Mike, Michele and Mark to meet and begin application process.
        D. Vacancy – Town of Granby needs to make an appointment to the Committee.

IV. New Business

ON A MOTION made by Michele Holt and seconded by Neil Mueller (4-0-0) to add item “IV. B – Public Access and format change” to the meeting agenda.
        A. Cox and DPUC funding – committee discussed prospects of funding from these sources.

        B.  Public access and format changes.
ON A MOTION made by Mike Malloy and seconded by Mark Bombard the committee agreed to contact Cox and the DPUC to express our concern over limitations to public access television created by the recent change in the Cox channel line-up. (4-0-0)

V.  Member Reports   

        None.

VI. Other Items   
        Committee discussed recommendations to make to the GCTV Board to amend our Resolution to reflect a Board comprised of one member appointed by the BOS of the three towns and one BOE member from each town to be subject to the approval by the GCTV Board.  

        Letter (email) from Bill Smith, Granby was submitted as correspondence to the committee.
        

VII. Confirm next meeting – March 15, 2011 at the East Granby Town Hall


VIII. Adjournment  
ON A MOTION made by Mark Bombard and seconded by Neil Mueller (4-0-0) the TTCTVGAC meeting was adjourned at 1:44 pm.
