Attendees: Neil Mueller, Bill Regan, Mark Bombard, Mike Malloy, Michele Holt
I. Public Comment
None.
II. Approval of Minutes for 3-12-09 meeting
ON A MOTION by Neil Mueller and seconded by Mike Malloy, the committee voted to accept the minutes of the 3-12-09 meeting (5-0-0)
lll. Tabled/Old Business:
A. Volunteerism/GCTV Board
Mary is coming to the next board mtg and is excited to join. Bill spoke with a real estate agent about doing a program on GCTV and underwriting it. They may be interested in doing it. Granby High School contacted to get student volunteers. East Granby to post volunteer opportunities on town newsletter and Granby News.
B. Fund raising and Community involvement
Four or five responses to our mailing have been received. Mark called them back but they have not responded. Suggestion was made to have a GCTV board member take over the call backs and follow ups.
C. GCTV Return signal
Cox is looking into a way of getting better signal – redesigning a new pipeline for the signal. This should help with the signal. Request for a second channel Cox said no - they are the certified provider of public access tv.
IV. New Business
A. New Grant Application
Draft has been done. Bill to review. Document will cover 4 projects listed A, B, C, D. Members to get to Michele information and quotes by 4/24/09.
B. “16 for 16”
Fund raiser for GCTV – ask for $16, $160 or $1,600 from residents of three towns – maybe go to Granby Day – free booth. This suggestion was directed towards the GCTV board to discuss and/or implement.
