MEETING MINUTES
FOR

Police Department Community Room

MINUTES

ATTENDEES PRESENT:  Mark Bombard, Mike Malloy, Bill Reagan and Michele Holt
ATTENDEES ABSENT:  Neil Mueller

I.        Public Comment
                None.

A MOTION TO add Agenda Items IV. A and B was made by Michele Holtand seconded by Mike Malloy.  Motion passed (4-0-0)

II.       Approval of Minutes for 4-09-09 meeting
A MOTION TO approve the Meeting Minutes of 4-9-09 was nade by Mike Malloy and Mark Bombard seconded.  Motion carried (4-0-0)

lll.    Tabled/Old Business:
                A. Volunteerism/GCTV Board
Committee expressed concern for GCTV Board with the loss of President.  Secretary position is vacant too.  Mike Malloy offered to contact Mary Root and Ann Chamberlain about joining the Board.  GCTV board meets 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm.  Mark Bombard agreed to change the May Board meeting to May 28th to accommodate schedules.  Bill Regan will speak to the Board of the Granby Drummer to find anyone who might be interested in sitting on the board.  

                B. Fund raising and Community involvement
Bill Regan spoke to Granby HS regarding getting volunteers.  Mike Molloy suggested starting volunteers on taping meetings first instead of the time intensive editing job.  East Granby has 2-3 volunteers ready to start learning to tape meetings.  Committee discussed finding underwriters for programs.  Mark Bombard to collect tapes from non-governmental programs and bring them to Enfield for Ch. 15 airing.    

IV.     New Business

A.  Committee recognizes the contributions of Brooke Pelli to
    GCTV.  

A MOTION TO draft a resolution to honor the accomplishments and contributions of Brook Pelli to GCTV was made by Mike Malloy and seconded by Mark Bombard.  Motion carried (4-0-0).  At our next meeting the resolution will be voted on and presented to the BOS of the three towns to add to their minutes.  Copies will be made for Pelli family and one to be installed at the Studio.  

A MOTION TO rename the GCTV studio to the “Brooke Pelli Memorial” studio was made by Mike Malloy and seconded by Michele Holt.  Motion carried (4-0-0).  Tri-town Committee to look into getting plaque made with her photo and installed in studio.  

A MOTION TO approve up to $100 for Memorial plaque and installation a motion was made by Michele Holt and seconded by Mark Bombard.  Motion carried (4-0-0).

         
                B.  Fund Budget
Committee reported a current fund balance of $827.56.    $210 has been requested for postage reimbursement and $100 has been requested for the memorial plaque.  

A MOTION TO encumber the remainder of the fund balance to go towards acquiring an appropriate sound recording system for the Town of Hartland was made by Mike Malloy and seconded by Michele Holt.  Motion carried (4-0-0).                        
                
V.       Member Reports.

Business mailing have gone out.  Mike will hold off on follow up to mailings unitl Fall ’09 when the GCTV Board is up and running again.

VI.      Other Items

VII.     Confirm next meeting – June 11, 2009 Town of East Granby  
            Town Hall Meeting Room 12:30 PM.
 
VIII.    Adjournment

A MOTION TO adjourn the meeting at 1:46 pm was made by Mark Bombard and seconded by Mike Malloy.  Motion carried (4-0-0)
