MEETING MINUTES
Thursday November 12, 2009 12:30 P.M.


MINUTES

Attendees:  Mike Malloy, Bill Reagan, Mark Bombard, Michele Holt
Absent:  Neil Mueller

I.        Public Comment

NONE

II.       Approval of Minutes for 09-10-09 meeting

ON A MOTION made by Michele Holt and SECONDED by Mike Malloy, the committee voted (4-0-0) to accept the Minutes from the 09-10-09 meeting.

lll.    Tabled/Old Business:

Bill mentioned two volunteers from East Granby were interested in tape in EG.  Mike will contact and invite them to the Open House in EG on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 7pm at the Town Hall Meeting room.

The amount of meeting in Granby that will be taped will increase when new equipment comes arrives and is installed.

The committee discussed running a GCTV Fund Drive in the spring of 2010.  Mike Malloy suggested we post yard signs to help promote.  

ON A MOTION made by Mike Malloy and SECONDED by Michele Holt the committee voted (4-0-0) to approve the purchase of yard signs for Fund Drive not to exceed $175.

The Granby Drummer will run picture of the dedication of the plaque in honor of  Brooke Pelli.  The Granby Drummer will also run an article on Brooke and the dedication.  

Report due by 12/17/09 to DPUC regarding all the tapings that have been done since first grant was received.  Bill Regan will submit report electronically to the DPUC by dead line.  
                                               
                                                     
IV.       New Business:

Website – Bill Regan submitted request to Granby Community Fund to grant money to redesign website and pay for a year hosting ($300 per year) includes software.  

Grant Award – Bill Regan estimates that the new grant will be received by the end of December, 2009.  Mark Bombard will review the quotes and contact vendors.

Youth involvement – Bill Regan mentioned a possible grant opportunity for a joint program of youth representatives from Granby and East Granby.  Grant would fund a paid coordinator position to facilitate program for youths to begin a two part (technical, production) program at GCTV after school.
