Ken discussed ways to market the Center Properties. He suggested creating a Comprehensive Vision for how the Center Zones could look in the future. This would require hiring a consultant to prepare drawings to help visualize future development. Ken suggests identifying specific areas and having visual drawings prepared to show future possibilities. These drawings could help prospective developers visualize the highest and best use of properties. They could also help commercial brokers who are marketing the properties within the Center Area. Ken suggested 3 potential areas where the drawings can be most effective. Ken handed out drawings that were prepared by “Plan It Green”, Community Planner and Landscape Architect. These drawing, which were prepared for
different towns show an attractive layout of buildings, parking and landscaping. The Commission members were impressed by the drawings and agreed that preparation of such drawings for Center properties could help promote the type of development that is promoted and encouraged within the Granby Center Zone.
The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
