GRANBY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Town Hall Meeting Room
Monday, June 14, 2010
7:00 P.M.
Present: Martin Schwager, John Krug, Ken Kuhl, and Fran Armentano, Director of Community Development.
Attending from the public was Matt Garrett of 56 Day St South, who was invited to participate in the discussions.
Chairman Murtha was not available for the meeting.
The Commission discussed the state of the economy and current development activity. Open space and farmland preservation was discussed. The preservation of the Bushy Hill Orchard was discussed also.
The meeting focused on the Granby Center. Fran Armentano projected various maps of the center and discussed sidewalks and landscaping. This discussion was a continuation of suggestions that were made within many of the Granby’s future presentations. Crosswalks were discussed and members intend to view the crosswalks located in Simsbury Center, across Route 10.
Members suggested meeting as a subcommittee to continue discussing the Center. Those who are available and interested will meet at Starbucks on June 28th at 6:00 pm.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
