TOWN OF GRANBY
GRANBY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Granby Police Department Community Room
Monday, October 18, 2010
7:00 P.M.

Bud Murtha, Chairman, Martin Schwager, John Krug, Robert Rome, Ed Guarco, Ken Kuhl and Fran Armentano, Director of Community Development.

Attending from the public was Matt Garrett of 56 Day St South, who was invited to participate in the discussions.

This was a Special meeting as the normally scheduled meeting was for Monday, Columbus Day, which is a State Holiday.

The Commission discussed and was updated on a variety of issues.  Current development activities were discussed.  The current housing market was discussed together with the retail and office markets. The Commission members were informed that the application for a Bed and Breakfast at the Lost Acres Vineyard was approved by the Commission.

The Commission continues to discuss the Granby Center.  Progress is being made on crosswalks over Route 189.  The members discussed a variety of potential developments.  The future of the Masonic Hall was discussed.

The Commission commented on the negative impact that unregulated dirt bike activity would have on the community.

The meeting adjourned at 8:46 p.m.
