GRANBY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Town Hall Meeting Room
Monday, November 8, 2010
7:00 P.M.
Present: Bud Murtha, Chairman, Martin Schwager, Edward Guarco, Robert Rome, John Krug, and Fran Armentano, Director of Community Development.
Attending from the public was Matt Garrett of 56 Day St South, who was invited to participate in the discussions.
The Commission members discussed local, state and national issues as they relate to the local Granby economy. Recent commercial activity was discussed along with the commercial vacancy rate.
The housing market was discussed along with building permit activity.
The Commission noted the Planning and Zoning Commission actions.
The Commission continued a discussion sidewalks and the support of local business.
The Town’s upcoming 225th anniversary was discussed.
The Commission discussed statistical information on the Town of Granby and surrounding communities.
The Commission continues to view Center area maps and suggest sidewalk improvements and landscaping.
The meeting adjourned at 8:33 p.m.
