GRANBY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Monday, February 14, 2011
7:00 P.M.
Bud Murtha, Chairman, John Krug, Robert Rome, Ed Guarco, Ken Kuhl and Fran Armentano, Director of Community Development.
Attending from the public was Matt Garrett of 56 Day St South, who was invited to participate in the discussions
The Commission began with a discussion of the economic climate and current activity. Planning and Zoning Commission activity was discussed and the members were brought up to date on subdivision and new housing activity. They discussed a nail salon that was proposed for the Town Center area.
The members discussed a variety of statistical data. Much of this data was recently prepared for the Town budget proposal. The members viewed the top 10 taxpayers list and the increase in the Grand List. A general discussion continued in regards to these matters.
The Commission continues to discuss the Town Center and the proposal for a crosswalk on Route 189. They are waiting for a response from the State of Connecticut.
The meeting adjourned at 8:53 p.m.
