GRANBY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
Town Hall Meeting Room
Tuesday, January 27, 2009
7:00 P.M.
On January 27th 2009 the Development Commission met with the Planning and Zoning Commission to discuss the draft proposal of a mixed use Zoning Regulation for the Granby Center area.
Present: Bud Murtha, Chairman, Martin Schwager, Robert Rome and John Krug.
Planning and Zoning Commission members present: Paula Johnson, Chairwoman, Daniel P. Brown, Jr., Margaret Chapple, Paul Lambert, James Sansone and Linda Spevacek.
Staff members present Francis Armentano, Director of Community Development and Ed Sweeney, Town Engineer.
The meeting opened at 7:04 p.m.
The Planning and Zoning Commission along with the Granby Development Commission were present for a round table review and discussion of the draft proposal of a mixed use Zoning Regulation for Granby Center area. Fran began the review and the members went through each section of the proposal. Numerous changes were suggested, agreed upon and noted. Fran projected and discussed maps which outlined the specific center zones as well as the Center Historic Overlay zone. Ownership of properties, existing zoning and the specific area of various properties were reviewed to aid in understanding the potential impact of the proposal. The Commission members focused on the specific boundary lines of the proposed zones and changes were suggested. Fran Armentano will make the changes as directed by the
Commission and the modified proposal will be reviewed again at a future meeting.
The Commission members thanked Ed Sweeney for his many year of dedicated service to the Town of Granby and wished him well in his retirement.
The meeting adjourned at 8:59 p.m.
