LIBRARY EXPANSION STUDY COMMITTEE
Called Meeting (Postponed from January 7)
January 9, 2009
Present: Bill Kennedy, Linda Veirs, Del Shilkret, and Roger Hernsdorf
Others present: Joan Fox and Lynn Lochhead
The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m.
The committee discussed the architect interviews. Ratings of each architect were reviewed and the top two architects were named.
The committee will conduct further research on the two firms. Bill Kennedy will make contact with the municipalities who have worked with these firms. Linda Viers will contact the library staff. Gerry Smyth and Roger Hernsdorf will try to reach the building committee representatives and Del Shilkret will contact sub contractors used by the firms.
The committee will meet again on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the library to review information and make a final recommendation to the Board of Selectmen.
Roger Hernsdorf will attend the Library Board meeting on Monday, January 12, 2009.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
