The Board reviewed notes from the January 12, 2009 meeting.
Public Comment: None.
Expansion Committee Update: Bill Kennedy attended this meeting to update the Board on the progress the Library Expansion Study Committee is making. Mr. Kennedy attended the February 2nd Board of Selectmen meeting to ask for $30,000 for an architect to provide schematic plans and other necessary information for identifying cost estimates for an addition to the existing library. The Board of Selectmen voted not to approve spending this money, at this time. Mr. Kennedy is looking into working with the selected firm, Peter Gisolfi and Associates, to see if they would agree to start the work now and not bill the town until they were hired as the architect for the Library Expansion Project. Mr. Kennedy will address the Board of Selectmen at a later date, to again request funds for the architect fees. A brief discussion ensued regarding applying for a state grant this fall.
