TOWN OF GRANBY
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
PUBLIC HEARING
MINUTES
OCTOBER 14, 2003
The Public Hearing of the Board of Selectmen was called to order by First Selectman William Simanski at 7:15 p.m.
PRESENT: William Simanski, John Adams, Ronald Desrosiers, John Flint, Sally King, and William F. Smith, Jr., Town Manager
First Selectman Simanski opened the hearing and read the legal notice as published in the Hartford Courant. The purpose of the public hearing was to obtain citizens’ views on a proposed Adoption of Ordinance for the Town of Granby Pension Plan.
Town Manager Smith indicated he had received no written or verbal communications from the public; however, he did have conversations with the various bargaining units covered in the Pension Plan. The bargaining units simply wanted to be sure the document was merely a document into which approved amendments had been merged. The document has been reviewed and approved by the actuaries, as well as the Pension Attorney.
No public addressed the Board. The Public Hearing was closed at 7:19 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
William F. Smith, Jr.
Town Manager
