TOWN OF GRANBY
BOARD OF SELECTMEN
PUBLIC HEARING
MINUTES
APRIL 5, 2004
First Selectman John Adams called the Public Hearing of the Board of Selectmen to order at 7:15 p.m.
PRESENT: John Adams, Ronald Desrosiers, Frank Judice, Sally King, Mark Neumann, and William F. Smith, Jr., Town Manager
First Selectman Adams opened the Public Hearing and read the legal notice as published in the Hartford Courant. The Board of Selectmen had called for a Public Hearing for the purpose of obtaining public comment regarding the proposed revisions to the Commission on Aging Ordinance in accordance with Section 7-191 of the Connecticut General Statutes.
Town Manager Smith stated he received no comments other than town staff, town attorney, and the Commission, all of which were in favor. No public spoke against the proposed ordinance. George L. Bronsford, Chairman for the Commission on Aging, spoke in favor of the revisions. This ordinance is amended in an effort to focus on the Commission’s role to act as a resource to the Board of Selectmen and to staff for program services and to enlarge its membership from seven (7) members to nine (9).
No other public addressed the Board and the public hearing was closed at 7:21 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
William F. Smith, Jr.
Town Manager
