TOWN OF GRANBY
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
JANUARY 5, 2009
Electors and citizens qualified to vote in Town Meetings of the Town of Granby, Connecticut are hereby warned that a Special Town Meeting will be held in the Town Hall Meeting Room, 15 North Granby Road, Granby, Connecticut on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. for the purpose of considering and acting upon the following resolution:
1. BE IT RESOLVED that upon recommendation of the Board of Selectmen and the Planning and Zoning Commission, the Town of Granby approves the reinstatement of a portion of Fox Road as follows:
Fox Road is to be re-established along the original roadbed, which is located approximately 640 feet north of the intersection of Barkhamsted Road (State Route 219) and Hartland Road (State Route 20).
Fox Road will then begin at the intersection with Hartland Road and extend 225 feet northwesterly to its end.
Further information is on file in the office of the Town Manager at Granby Town Hall.

The warning was duly signed by a majority of the members of the Board of Selectmen.
TOWN MODERATOR, Donald Wilmot, called the Town Meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and introduced himself. He then reviewed the requirements for voting this evening and also reviewed the purpose of tonight’s meeting.
MODERATOR Wilmot then called on the Town Clerk, Karen I. Hazen, to read the call as recorded on page 179.
The RESOLUTION was introduced by Selectman King and seconded by Selectman Neumann, as recorded on page 179.
First Selectman Adams addressed electors providing background information on the property and stated the oversight was made when the original resolution that discontinued Fox Road as a town road was passed, making it a hardship for the property owner at 3 Fox Road.
There was no public comment.
MODERATOR Wilmot then called for a voice vote. All were in favor. None opposed.
RESOLUTION APPROVED
There was no other business to come before the Town Meeting. MODERATOR Wilmot declared the meeting adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
