REGULAR MINUTES
ON A MOTION by A. Crimmins, seconded by K. Rome, the Board voted unanimously (5-0-0) to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of June 16, 2009 as presented.
Chairman Chapple explained the procedure of the meeting and noted to those in attendance that decisions would generally be mailed to the applicant within 10 days and that a variance certificate, when granted, shall be null and void if not filed within 90 days of the approval date.
The appeal by Greg Girard, 1 Eastwood Drive, seeking a variance to side yard requirements, Section 5.1 of the Zoning Regulations to allow construction of a garage addition, opened at 7:33 p.m.
Greg Girard, 1 Eastwood Drive, appeared to explain his request for a variance. He would like to add a third bay to an existing two bay garage. The house is located on a corner lot and the garage could not be place in front of the existing garage because it would be too close to the street. The garage couldn’t be put on the other side due to the location of the septic system. It couldn’t be built towards the back because of an existing hatchway. The well is located on the same side as the proposed addition, but is far enough away not to be a concern. He originally asked for a 3’ variance, but realized he needed a 4’ variance and asked for this modification to be considered.
Public comment: There was none.
This public hearing closed at 7:39 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
