Volunteers are important. Without volunteer coaches, we cannot have teams; if you have questions about coach responsibilities, please call us.
Granby Youth Basketball
Registrations for youth basketball for girls and boys grades K - 8 for January - March, 2010 will be ready in late October. Registration forms will be distributed through your student's electronic backback. Or, there is a form on-line on our webpage under Youth Basketball.

Registration must be postmarked by 12 noon on Saturday, November 28 or dropped in our outside mailbox by 8:00AM on Monday, November 30, 2009 Anything after these dates and times must include a $10 late fee. Late registrations will be accepted through 12/14 ONLY if there is team availability.
2010 Granby Local Hot Shot Contest:
17th Annual Hot Shot Basketball Shooting Contest
This is a statewide contest run annually by the CT. Parks & Recreation Association. The purpose is to promote basketball enthusiasm as well as basketball skills, fun, physical fitness and good sportsmanship.
Each player will have one minute to shoot from “hotspots” placed on one half of the court. The contest challenges a player’s speed, shooting, dribbling and rebounding ability. Three one-minute rounds constitute the duration of play for each player.
The top scorer in each division will move on to the next (Regional) level of the contest. Regionals will be scheduled between Jan. 20 and Feb. 27, 2010 and the State competition will be on Sat., March 6,
CONGRATULATIONS! TO THE 2010 Winners. They will compete at the Regionals on 2/6.

REGISTRATION: Begins ½ hour prior to the start of the contest. A parent must accompany the player to complete forms requiring a parent signature. A copy of a birth certificate will be required of all winners. If you do not have one on file in the Recreation office, please bring a copy.

Registrations for the 2010 ski program for grades 3 - 12 will be available late September/early October and will be distributed through your student's electronic backpacks The registration form will also be available on this website under Ski Sundown. Early registration is important to guarantee a place.
