Transportation Options
Granby Senior Van
This service is available to Granby senior citizens and disabled persons. Transportation is provided for grocery shopping, mall trips, health clinics, the congregate meal program, senior center activities and programs, senior center trips, and medical appointments. Please call Nancy Grakowsky, Transportation Coordinator at 860-844-5353 one week in advance for scheduling. All persons who use the van MUST have a valid van card. Van cards are renewable in September. Cost is $10 annually.
The van operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for regularly scheduled activities and as needed on weekends.
Medical/Dental/Personal Care Appointments:
Local appointments (Granby, East Granby, Simsbury) may be scheduled for Mondays and Wendesdays and medical appointments out of the area may be scheduled for Fridays. The Senior Van is equipped with a wheelchair for added accessibility.

Transportation Activity Program (TAP)

This church community-run service is entirely operated with volunteers. There are two (2) coordinators who match callers with drivers. The service provides rides for medical appointments for ambulatory seniors who do not wish to drive. Please call at least one week before your appointment. Your driver will call you.
