This office endeavors to effectively and efficiently enforce the provisions of the Granby's Zoning Regulations and the State of Connecticut Basic Building Code. To ensure code compliance, they provide construction information sheets, preconstruction advice and on site advice. Permits are issued for building projects, wetlands, and Zoning Board of Appeals.

Fire protection services for the Town of Granby are provided by the Lost Acres Fire Department, Inc. Our job is to provide fire suppression, vehicle extrication and other rescue services to reduce property loss, injuries or death from fires, accidents, hazardous materials releases or natural disasters.

A part-time Youth Counselor provides clinical services and conducts psycho-educational groups for youth and their families. A part-time Youth Program Coordinator develops and coordinates prevention and resiliency programs for youths.
