Recording Secretary - Board of Finance

The Granby Board of Finance is currently seeking a recording secretary. Responsibilities include taking meeting minutes, corresponding with board members and preparing minutes and agendas for distribution. Strong computer and proofreading skills are required. The Board of Finance meets the 4th Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. The rate of pay is $75.00/meeting. Applications may be emailed to humanresources@granby-ct.gov.

Recording Secretary - Planning & Zoning Commisson

The Granby Planning & Zoning Commission is currently seeking a recording secretary. Responsibilities include taking meeting minutes, corresponding with board members and preparing minutes and agendas for distribution. Strong computer and proofreading skills are required. The Planning & Zoning Commission meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The rate of pay is $100.00/meeting. Applications may be emailed to humanresources@granby-ct.gov.

Department of Public Works

Deputy Director of Public Works
The Town of Granby is seeking a Deputy Director of Public Works. The Deputy Director assists in the management and supervision of all Public Works Department services. Performs a wide variety of technical and supervisory responsibilities requiring an extensive knowledge of public works functions such as: road construction; parks maintenance; vehicle maintenance; solid waster management; and sewer maintenance. This position also has the responsibility of making critical administrative, safety, and supervisory decisions. Five (5) years of increasingly responsible work in public works construction and maintenance and two (2) years responsible supervisory experience required. Qualified applicant must have a valid Connecticut CDL driver's license. Salary $87,000 - $106,000 DOQ. Excellent benefits package. Click for a detailed job description.

Part-Time Laborer

Department of Police Services

Police Captain
The Town of Granby is seeking a full-time Police Captain. Qualified candidates should possess considerable knowledge, skill and ability in Police Department management. A bachelor's degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field and ten (10) years of experience is required. At least three years experience must be at rank of Sergeant. National Academy graduate preferred. Certified Police Officer
The Town of Granby is seeking a full-time Certified Police Officer. Applicants must be either active Connecticut P.O.S.T.C. certified officers in good standing with their current department, or have retired in good standing , still having Connecticut P.O.S.T.C. police officer status. Officers that have resigned or retired with pending discipline cases or have been forced to resign or retire in lieu of termination, will not be considered. Senior Van Driver - Part Time

The Town of Granby is seeking a part-time Senior Van Driver for up to 25 hours per week at $16.00 per hour. This position is responsible for providing transportation to senior and disabled citizens. Marriage & Family Therapist - Part Time
Granby Youth Services is seeking a part-time Marriage & Family Therapist to provide individual and family therapy for a growing caseload. Experience treating children and adolescents a must. Candidates must be available afternoons and evenings, Monday through Friday. Days and times flexible. Supervision provided weekly by an AAMFT approved supervisor.
