Public Works

Laborer (Part-Time)
The Granby Department of Public Works has an opening for a part-time Laborer. This position is for up to 25 hours per week and primarily performs semi-skilled work and manual work in the cleaning and maintenance of Town facilities and grounds. Work schedule is generally Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. with some flexibility. Click for a detailed job description and posting information. EOE

Seasonal Positions

Lifeguards
The Granby Parks & Recreation Department is accepting applications for lifeguards at the Town's waterfront located at Salmon Brook Park. Flexible work hours and prior swim experience preferred. The lifeguard is responsible for scanning their assigned zone, recognizing potential emergency situations and responding accordingly by enforcing facility rules and regulations, utilizing training from the American Red Cross. Applicants must hold a current lifeguard certification. A Lifeguard Certification Course is available through the Parks & Recreation Department in early June. The Town of Granby is seeking a full-time Certified Police Officer. Applicants must be either active Connecticut P.O.S.T.C. certified officers in good standing with their current department, or have retired in good standing , still having Connecticut P.O.S.T.C. police officer status. Officers that have resigned or retired with pending discipline cases or have been forced to resign or retire in lieu of termination, will not be considered. Marriage & Family Therapist - Part Time
Granby Youth Services is seeking a part-time Marriage & Family Therapist to provide individual and family therapy for a growing caseload. Experience treating children and adolescents a must. Candidates must be available afternoons and evenings, Monday through Friday. Days and times flexible. Supervision provided weekly by an AAMFT approved supervisor.
