Geology Rocks!

From rifting and shifting to erosion and explosion, from faulting and freezing to dinosaur motion, come learn about the Earth processes that formed and shaped the varied rocks of the Hartford Basin. UConn Geologist Riley Flanagan-Brown also shares where to hike to enjoy rockin' views of our geologically fascinating landscape.

Adults, teens, and school age kids are invited to attend the presentation at Cossitt Library, upper level.

About the presenter:

Riley Flanagan-Brown is a geologist, home educator, and volunteer hike leader from Hamden.

He is a graduate of and former teaching assistant for the University of Connecticut Geology Field School and has served as the geology instructor for the Connecticut Master Naturalist Program. Riley has also led a series of hikes, often with his two sons Liam and Jack, for the Connecticut Forest and Park Association.
