About the artist:

How does one person grow up a navy brat, enroll as a government major with a peace studies concentration at Notre Dame, and ultimately become a calligraphic artist? Debby Reelitz is not sure how all the different strands came together, but we are glad they did!

After earning a Bachelor's Degree, Debby met Gerry Jackson Kerdok, Worcester Art Museum, and began her education in the world of calligraphic art. An eye-opening 12 week experience led to a year-long study with Reggie Ezell, subsequent workshops with many other talented lettering artists, and the development of her own calligraphic style. All which became fuel for the fire.

Today, Debby Reelitz runs a successful lettering design business and instructs people of all ages in the art of calligraphy. She is President of the Granby Artists Association and instrumental in creating many opportunities for people to experience and incorporate a variety of art mediums within their lives.
