The Frederick H. Cossitt Library, the first public library established in Granby, has been in continuous operation since 1890, and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. Established in 1957, the Friends of Cossitt Library are a group of volunteers devoted to the enrichment of library services, materials and facilities at Cossitt Library.
Walk through the front doors, step back in time, and enjoy a cup of tea and a comfy chair. Bestsellers are readily available at Cossitt, as are DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, music, a Teen section and a Children's collection of picture books, easy readers, and movies (infant through Grade 6).
