Recreation Department Seasonal Positions

The Granby Park and Recreation Department is currently hiring Summer Camp Counselors and Lifeguards. Applications are available at www.GranbyRec.com and completed applicatons should be emailed to recreation@granby-ct.gov.

Summer Camp Counselor

The Granby Park & Recreation Department is accepting applications for Summer Camp Counselors. To succeed as a Camp Counselor, you should be upbeat, decisive and responsible. You should also be organized and posess strong leadership skills. Camp Counselors must be at least 16+. Staff must have previous experience working or volunteering with children, be self-motivated and be able to make quick decisions with minimal oversight.

Lifeguard

The Granby Park & Recreation Department is accepting applications for Lifeguards at the Town's waterfront located at Salmon Brook Park. Flexible hours and prior swim experience preferred. The Lifeguard is responsible for scannng their assigned zone, recognizing potential emergency situations, and responding accordingly by enforcing facility rules and regulations, utilizing training from the American Red Cross. Applicants must hold a current lifeguard certification. A Lifeguard Certification Course is also available through the department in early June.
