Social Services

The focus of the Social Service Department is to coordinate existing federal, state, regional and local services, to increase community awareness of these services and to develop new programs to meet the needs of Granby residents.

Granby Social Services serves as a SNAP intake site, processes CT State Energy Assistance applications, works with Operation Fuel, authorizes Granby Food Pantry participation, assists Eversource utility consumers to qualify for programs such as NewStart, the Matching Payment Program, or monthly budget payment plans, submits Elderly and/or Disabled Renters Rebate program applications, coordinates Thanksgiving meal baskets and holiday assistance for qualified Granby families.  You may apply to these programs directly through the Granby Social Services Department. Must be a Granby, North Granby or West Granby resident. An appointment is necessary. Call the office to set up an appointment and to discuss necessary paperwork. 860-844-5350.
