One service provided by Granby Senior Center is the Senior Van Medical Transport. There is a $10 fee for Granby residents and it is a service for Granby residents only. The van is a great way for seniors to receive transportation from home, to medical appointments and back, but occasionally, some seniors will need a little bit of extra help when boarding on and off of the van. The Town of Granby is looking for a way to support these seniors so that everyone who uses the van service can continue to access their medical appointments.
Introducing the new Seniors' Assistance Program, volunteers needed! The job is easy: simply sign-up to volunteer, and join a senior for the van ride to their medical appointment. Help the senior to get on and off of the senior van bus at home and at the medical appointment. As the volunteer, you will also be picked up and dropped off at home by the Senior van.
