The Town of Granby is seeking a van driver for the Senior Center!
Under the general direction of the Director of Community Services and the Transportation Coordinator, the Van Driver provides transportation service to senior and disabled citizens. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. This is a part-time position for up to 12 hours per week at $17.50 per hour.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Maintaining responsibility for the safe operation of up to 14-passengers.
· Assisting in the loading and unloading of passengers and their purchases.
· Operating wheelchair lift and secures wheelchair riders.
· Assisting the Social Services Administrative Assistant with planning routes and trips.
· Logging daily pre-trip inspection, mileage, hours and other passenger information.
Minimum Qualifications for this position: CDL or valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s License with public passenger transportation permit required. High school diploma and one year of responsible related work experience.
