The Town received notification from the Siting Council that written comments regarding the proposed battery energy storage facility at 100 Salmon Brook Street are due September 1, 2024.  While it is expected the timeline will change once the Council considers the Town’s request for Party Status, residents should review the plans and submit any comments to batteryproject@granby-ct.gov. Plans and the presentation by Key Capture Energy are available online above.

Public Hearing - November 19, 2024

The Connecticut Siting Council held a public hearing via Zoom remote conferencing on November 19, 2024, beginning with an evidentiary session at 2:00 pm and continuing with a public comment session at 6:30 pm. The hearing discussed a petition from Key Capture Energy for the proposed construction, maintenance, and operation of a 4.99-megawatt AC battery energy storage facility located at 100 Salmon Brook Street, Granby, Connecticut.
